My daily beauty routine is something that is constantly changing as I love keeping things fresh. Living in Toronto means that I get to experience all four beautiful seasons, but sadly my skin isn’t as thankful as my heart is for the quarterly climate change. Having sensitive skin I’m particular about the products I use, and one brand that always seems to land prime real estate in my cupboard is Kiehl’s. Whether it’s the Rosa Arctica cream to nurse my dry winter skin or the Clearly Corrective Dark Circle Perfector with SPF 30 it’s safe to say Kiehl’s seems to have an answer to my skincare troubles.
Like over 100 million women worldwide, dark under eye circles are a major concern of mine. Most people experience skin discolouration around their eyes at some point or another in their lives which can be a result of fatigue, stress or simply even genes. In Asia, the number one concern after wrinkles is dark circles. While keeping hydrated, getting proper rest and maintaining a healthy, balanced diet can do wonders for your skin, it’s not always enough to combat my dark circles and also my darker eyelids. I love the instant, natural looking results I get using Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Circle Perfector with SPF 30. Not only does it instantly brighten but it’s also paraben and fragrance free, and safe for sensitive eyes. Still a bit skeptical? See for yourself the instant results below.
HOW TO USE
Apply a small amount on top of your daily eye cream by using a soft tapping motion. Aside from being the first area of the face to show signs of aging, the skin around your eyes is thinner and more delicate than the rest of your face so it’s important to be gentle when applying treatments. This product is a tinted protector and I do find the colour to be fairly light for my skin tone so I simply use less of it to avoid the area under my eyes from becoming too light (that’s never appealing). Its job is to brighten and protect, so the colour isn’t a make or break for me.
For over 160 years Kiehl’s has been known for its use of unique natural ingredients, carefully sourcing effective botanical extracts from around the globe. On a mission to combat dullness and early signs of aging, Kiehl’s has formulated a treatment using the nutrient-rich Iris Florentina Root and I love, love, love it! This ingredient contains anti-aging benefits that help preserve skin quality, reduce skin damage, lines and wrinkles and it also serves as barrier to protect the skin (yay!). Released today, I was lucky enough to test this product before it’s launch. I’ve been using this treatment morning and night (before my normal skin care routine) the past few weeks and I can truly say my skin has a healthier, brighter glow.
HOW TO USE
Pour a few drops of this liquid concentrate in your palms, press together and spread over face. Apply morning and evening before your usual routine. You want to use this on cleansed skin to ensure your skin absorbs the full benefits.
