When I first entered Mykonos town I was in awe of the beautiful colours, shops, restaurants and overall vibe. It was unlike anything I have ever experienced before. Nitin and I strolled along the cobblestone paths, and got lost in the narrow alleyways as we explored every nook and cranny. Each turn was literally a surprise, as the town is adorned with beautifully painted doors and railings, fresh flowers hanging above, unique shops boasting luxurious designs, and the most amazingly delicious Greek restaurants and frozen yogurt shops your heart can image. I can’t even count the number of times I ate frozen yogurt while in Greece – it was beyond delicious!
The blue and white theme so prevalent in Greece inspired many of my outfits, including this one. I wore my Kate Spade webbing colourblock sun hat in blue and white, and matched it up with a simple, white, off-the-shoulder top with a lace trim, a pair of classic denim shorts, white gladiator sandals and one of my long-time favourite Kate Spade shoulder bags. I accessorized with jewelry from Effy, Lulu Frost and Micheal Kors, while sporting my new Express sunnies. I preferred keeping my outfits in Mykonos on the fun and casual side, as that’s just how the town is!
This was one of my favourite days in Mykonos, as we spend most of our time exploring the town and admiring the old buildings, full of history and beauty. I didn’t want to miss a beat! After walking through the town we eventually ended up at the harbour, which was surprisingly calm and quiet. It’s amazing how you can go from a busy, tourist-packed street, to a calm, peaceful area within minutes. This is one of the things I love most about Mykonos; you get the best of both worlds!
