Brunch is kind of a big deal in my world. There’s few things I enjoy more than rolling out of bed on the weekend, getting dolled up and heading to a local restaurant for some eggs benny. Nitin and I decided to check out Kerr Street Café recently, and we were pleasantly surprised with the food, service and ambiance. Being an Oakville gal I surprised myself with the fact that I’ve never dined at this cute and cozy café, aside from the quick latte run every now and again.
Dressing for brunch never gets boring. I like to find a balance between chic, comfort and playful, because there’s nothing worse than sitting for hours in an outfit you can’t breathe or move in. I went shopping recently with my sister/bff Shelli, from Zen Health Love, when we came across this California Moonrise Pagoda Frilled Sleeves Off-Shoulder Top. We both fell in love with the colour and flow of this shirt, and Shelli decided to pick it up for her trip to Turks and Caicos. Having a sister means double the wardrobe, so I of course borrowed (I say borrowed loosely because there’s a slim chance this is getting returned hehe) this 70’s inspired bardot. Light, airy and the perfect shade of blue to add a pop of colour to any outfit, I paired this with my Zara frayed hem jeans (similar here), my favourite Little Burgundy Cuachilote bag (now on clearance) and my Pour la Victoire heels.
If you’re heading to any festivals this summer, rock this shirt with denim shorts (I love these and these) and a flower crown to complete your look. Not quite ready to channel your inner hippie just yet? This shirt also looking great with a pair of white boyfriend trousers, like these ones by Vince, and a cuff bracelet.
