Unwinding with Sudio Sweden:
My Fav Ways to De-Stress

Happy Tuesday dolls!

The past couple weeks have been crazy busy, juggling my time between meetings, events and …more meetings! I don’t know about you, but my mind has a bad habit of running at 100 km/ h. Amidst all the chaos, I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to de-stress and carve out some time to unwind. Before you hit your breaking point, take a deep breath, shake it off and remember that every cell in your body is eavesdropping on your thoughts. Stay positive!

I’ve been frequenting the spa a little more than usual lately to take advantage of some downtime, and I’ve also been running quite a bit to clear my head. In this post I’m excited to share with you guys some of my tried and tested ways to copy with stress and find balance.

First off, I’ve got to say that these Sudio Vasa Blå headphones have become my best friend this year. They’re the perfect companion for my de-stressing activities, and let’s be real, you can’t exactly overlook their chic and sophisticated design, woot! Featuring cutting edge Bluetooth 4.1 technology, they have up to 8 hours of unlimited play-time so needless to say they’re perfect for a day at the spa. The noise isolation allows me to focus and concentrate on tasks that require my undivided attention, and the sound quality is perfect for tuning into my favourite Netflix shows. I’ve teamed up with Sudio Sweden to offer YOU, my amazing readers, a 15% discount using the online code KIKIKHOSLA.

My Favourite (and proven) Ways to De-stress

  1. Me-time: While I adore spending time with my husband, family and friends, I also love to be alone. It’s not uncommon for me to spend a solid 8 hours at the spa by myself, enjoying some treatments and curling up with a cup of chai (or glass of champagne). I feel so relaxed at the spa, and love how I can plan my day according to my schedule and not have to worry about anything else. I always bring my Sudio headphones with me, so I can meditate or catch up on one of my favourite Netflix shows via my iPad.
  2. Exercise: I find that going for a run or to the gym allows me to shake off extra stress. Exercise releases endorphins, which helps to reduce stress, improve sleep and stabilize my mood. If I get to feel healthy and look good, it’s a win-win in my books. My Sudio headphones are perfect for exercising because they don’t slip out of my ears (major headphone turnoff).
  3. Meditation: Again, a solo-activity I do each day, the benefits are meditation are incredible. Not only does meditation help in reducing anxiety and depression, but it allows me to control my mind and focus on positive thoughts. I meditate each night before I go to bed, and if I wake up feeling out of sort, I play positive affirmations through Spotify while I’m getting ready. If I need to de-stress when I’m out, I pop in my Sudio headphones and take a quick listen. It’s like a daily pick-me-up!
  4. Essential Oils: Ok, anyone else jump aboard the oil train lately? I’ve been using oils as a part of my daily skincare routine for a few years (I love Clarins Blue Orchid Face Oil), but lately I’ve been defusing essential oils around my home and I’m seriously loving the benefits …and scents. Whether you’re battling headaches, trying to cope with anxiety or dealing with fatigue, there seems to be an oil for everything. My sister is huge on doTerra oils and she’s been teaching me a ton about the benefits of them (if you want more info send me an email). I’ve been defusing oils around my home and using roller bottles my sis makes for me, and have found them extremely calming and effective in reducing stress.
  5. Jam: Put on those Sudio headphones and jam! Music fills your brain with feel-good chemicals like dopamine. Whether your into classical or hip hop, relax to your favourite tunes and unwind.
  6. Unplug: Brace yourself darlings, this isn’t going to be easy. Find a little escape from the outside world by turning off your phone, avoiding your email and enjoying some peace and quite …you know, the way they used to back in ..um, the 90’s? While I love checking my IG and blog, I also love powering off once in a while.

“Surround yourself with great people. Think positively. Meditate daily. Exercise daily. Travel often. Stay strong. Eat healthy. Work hard. Be grateful. Love often. Worry less. Read daily. Sleep well. Be happy.”

xo, Kiki
