Celebrating Mother’s Day
with Bloomen.ca

If I haven’t said it a million times before, I’ll say it once more; I am obsessed with flowers. In awe of the seemingly infinite varieties, I find calmness in their untainted scents and hope in the possibility of growth and beauty. It’s said that to plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow, and I couldn’t agree more. Flowers are the bearer of hope and happiness, and are the perfect way to plant a smile on your mum’s face this Mother’s Day.

I grew up with parents who love gardening, and to this day I’m amazed how they spend more time in their backyard oasis than they do in their home (minus the winter months of course). From planting and maintaining to relaxing and hosting, my mum and dad are never short an excuse for some backyard time. Our garden played a huge part in my childhood; the stage for countless family parties and get-togethers, the backdrop for prom pictures, and the place we’d all go for a little escape. I loved watching my mum put together beautiful arrangements from her garden when I was a little girl, so it’s no surprise that 20+ years later my home is never without blooms (thanks mum). I was raised on garden vegetables and fresh flowers, and I take these two things very seriously.

I love making arrangements for my home, and it’s quite rare to step inside the Khosla house and not spot some blooms. Nitin thinks I’m insanely picky when it comes to flowers, and in his defense I have been known to spend extended amounts of time looking through all my floral options before choosing thee ones. You know, the semi-bloomed, strong, unwilted, bursting with freshness kind. The ones you just know are going to bloom into beauties …yup, those ones! I’m a fussy gal with my florals, so when it comes to flower delivery services I need to be confident the company I’m ordering from delivers the freshest bunches with the least amount of work required from me. Soooo, with Mother’s Day around the corner I’ve teamed up with one of my favourite, and most reliable flower delivery companies, Bloomen, to bring you guys a little somethin’ somethin;. For something a little more elaborate, I’m loving this OVO-inspired piece consisting of artistically arranged calla lilies and hydrangeas for $79.99 and this Pink Lullaby Baby bouquet for $69.99. I’m also crazy about my Blessed Most flower companies charge upwards of $100 for arrangements of this size on Mother’s Day, so take advantage of these prices while you can.
