It’s that time of the year where our social schedules start to fill up with summer bbq’s, weddings, showers, concerts, parties, festivals …you know, all that good stuff. Nitin and I both come from big families, so between our nearest and dearest it’s not uncommon for us to hop from event to event to event some evenings. While I love how the summer months bring everyone out from hibernation, dressing for several parties in one evening can be a bit of a challenge.

I’ve said it a million times before; I’m all about versatility. I love piece that can be dressed up or down, so when I discovered this Faux Fur Coat from SheIn a few weeks ago I couldn’t resist it. The shade of pink is right up my alley and it adds the perfect pop to any outfit for only $34 (USD). I decided on this coat because not only can I dress it up for weddings and dinners but it also looks great with jeans and a baseball cap …and it’s perfect for all seasons! I was pleasantly surprised how quickly the coat arrived. I’m planning on wearing it to a friends wedding in a couple weeks so I ordered it well in advance just to be safe, but it ended up arriving in less than 2 weeks of being ordered …woot! The fit is perfect and the material is great considering it’s a $34 jacket.

This past weekend Nitin and I had friends’ BBQ to attend, followed by dinner. I kept my outfit pretty casual for the BBQ, sticking with a basic white tank, jeans and sneakers. On our way to dinner I swapped out my kicks with heels, my studs with pearls and slipped into my new jacket, which kinda makes me feel like a marshmallow. In the matter of two minutes I was able to successfully, and effortlessly, elevated my outfit.
