We spend so much time focusing on our skincare routine that we often forget to pamper our pouts. I dedicate at least two days a week to caring for my lips, and I’ve got my routine down to under 3 minutes, woot! I start by gently exfoliating my lips to remove dead skin. This not only provides a smooth canvas for my lipstick, but helps my lips absorb more nourishment from other products. My favourite lip exfoliator is Lush Cosmetics Bubblegum Lip Scrub, but you can always make your own scrub at home with some sugar, oil and honey. I immediately follow with a hydrator, such as Clarins Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm or Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm Tube. While I’m not generally a fan of exfoliating in the morning, I did apply a lip exfoliant this morning, followed by the Lip Comfort Oil in Honey Glam. The results; soft, smooth, and oh so shiny lips! I might just need to re-think my morning routine.
