The countdown to Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without some treats along the way. Each year when the holiday season approaches I look forward to rounding up my favourite advent calendars of the year. For 2019 I decided to change things up a bit. As a new mom this year I am excited to share my top picks for the entire family. From babies to toddlers to grown-ups to the big kid in each of us, I hope you enjoy my 2019 round-up!
Clarins: Celebrate 12 days of beauty with my favourite French luxury skincare brand. Surprise someone special with the hottest beauty essentials including a lip oil, firming mask and beauty flash balm (my fav!) to name a few.
Squish: If you were following along my pregnancy journey you’d know I had have a massive soft spot (no pun intended) for Squish. With two options to choose from, Vegan and Non-Vegan, this advent calendar is made for the sweet tooth buddy on your list.
Crayola: Colouring and crafts and Christmas, oh my! Packed with everything you need to keep your kiddo’s occupied, including markers, crayons, googly eyes, model magic and much, much more, this playful calendar is ready to spark some creativity and put imaginations to work.
The Bearded Man Co: One of the most unique advent calendars I found, this is the holy grail for your bearded buddy. Packed with enough oils to last him what seems like the year, he’ll be smelling his best as he discovers a new scent each day!
FAO Schwartz: Nitin surprised me with this calendar last year and truth be told it was one of my favourite advent calendar of all time. He took the time to write something special each day, whether it was a cute quote, redeemable coupon or special memory. The world is your oyster with this calendar!
Urban Outfitters: Get your cuddle on with this fuzz-filled Mini Bean Bag Animal advent. Equipped with loops so the little critters can easily attach to a keychain or locker, this is the perfect gift for someone who just needs to say “awwwww”.
Purdy’s: Perfect for any chocolate lover on your list, this advent calendar is filled with the most delicious milk, dark and salted caramel chocolate. I picked this up for Nitin because he loves his chocolate and since he’s not a huge fan of salted caramel the staff was kind enough to swap those with milk chocolate. They also let me know the calendar is refillable each year ..the gift that keeps on giving!
L’Occitane: My girlfriends go nuts over this calendar each year. Filled with creams, shower oil, conditioner, masks, you can enjoy 24 days of pampering with this bad boy.
Fisher-Price: Perfect for your little ones, keep the lead up to Christmas exciting with a new Little People friend or holiday themed accessory each day.
Lego City: I used to purchase this calendar (or the Star Wars) version for Nitin each year. He loves assembling the lego figures each day but this year with Evan I didn’t want the small pieces floating around. There are different options to choose from (including this Harry Potter version), so you’re sure to find something for every kid (or adult) on your list.
David’s Tea: Always a holiday favourite, enjoy 24 loose leaf blends for only $40. What could be better for the tea-lover on your list?!
Charlotte Tilbury: If there is anyone who knows how to create a flawless look, it’s Charlotte Tilbury. I have a few CT products nd I absolutely love them so I can confidently say this is a great choice for any beauty lover.
Tiffany & Co: If you’ve got an extra $112,000 kicking around, this over-the-top advent calendar features a Tiffany 1837 Square Watch in Stainless Steel with Diamonds, Tiffany T Extra Large Smile Pendant in 18k Rose Gold with Diamonds and a Tiffany Paper Flowers™ Pavé Diamond Flower Pendant in Platinum just to give you an idea of what’s inside.
Barbie: As someone who has always adored Barbie (you can read more about my love for Barbie here), take me back 20 years and this would have been my perfect advent calendar. Kids open the Barbie doll on day one and can look forward to a different surprise leading up to Christmas.
Marvel: Calling all Marvel fans! Featuring 24 Pocket Pop’s, collect all your favourite Marvel characters before Santa makes his grand entrance.
Brewkies: I’ve covered near enough everyone on your list …did you really think I’d forget about your furry friend? Spoil man’s best friend with 24 gluten, grain and preservative free treats.
May your Christmas countdown be filled with everything your heart, tummy and skin desire!
