If you’re looking to add a few new pieces to your wardrobe for Spring, look no further! These stylish and colourful finds are sure to make a statement. I mean seriously, who doesn’t want a pair of watermelon shoes ;). These pumps remind me of when I was a little girl, eating watermelon in the park after a picnic. Not that I wore pumps when I was 5 (with the exception of playing dress-up of course), but the fun and youthful appeal can’t help but make me a bit nostalgic. As for the rest of my top picks, from the soft colours to the elegant florals I hope you enjoy these finds as much as I do.
1. J. CREW, PETITE BOY SHIRT IN CRINKLE GINGHAM
It’s baaack. Gingham baby! This pattern became popular in the 50’s and 60’s when Brigitte Bardot wore a pink and white gingham dress to wed actor Jacques Charrier, and it’s finding its way back into the spotlight. Showing up on the runways of Diane von Furstenberg, Oscar de la Renta and Michael Kors to name a few, this pattern is one of my favourites of the season.
2. WILDFOX COUTURE, BEL AIR SUNGLASSES
I’m crazy about these oversized round retro frames from Wildfox Couture.
3. RIVER ISLAND, TIE UP GLADIATOR FLAT SANDALS
It’s all in the details; the pop of gold, the tassel ties, the heel. They all come together to form a beautifully simple sandal, perfect for day and evening.
4. BAUBLEBAR, ORB CUFF BRACELET
This colour blocking cuff adds a playful twist perfect for Spring.
5. ELLE BY RW&CO, QUILTED SATIN DRESS WITH CUTOUT SHOULDERS
ELLE Magazine has teamed up with RW&CO once again, and this time they have created this gorgeous 50’s inspired dress with playful features like cut-out shoulders and pockets.
6. J. CREW, HIBISCUS CINCHED HIGH-RISE BIKINI BOTTOM & J. CREW, HIBISCUS HIDDEN UNDERWIRE BANDEAU BIKINI TOP
There is nothing about this bikini set I am not in love with. The colours – check! The ultra cute high-rise bottoms – check! Discreet underwire – check! Now, where’s the ocean?
7. SOPHIA WEBSTER, JESSICA WATERMELON PUMP
Watermelon anyone?
8. TED BAKER, TABBY TROPICAL TOUCAN CLUTCH BAG
I fell in love with this bag when I was in NYC, but the only downfall is that it won’t fit my massive Note 4 phone. The versatility of the bag is great as you can use the chain to hang around your shoulder, hold the clutch in your hand, or pop the gold micro handle up and use those instead.
Happy shopping dolls. Thanks for stopping by!
