As soon as my second trimester hit my sweet tooth has been out of control. I’m craving everything from gummies to ice cream to cupcakes (not my proudest confession I must say). One of my mid-day snacks often consists of Squish gummies (ok fine, I had a couple after breaky this morning, no biggie) so to even the scales I try and keep my core meals as clean and healthy as possible. Nitin brought home these Live wraps a few weeks ago and they’ve been my go-to for quick, easy, healthy meals. Not only are they organic, plant-based wraps but they’re made right here in Toronto and contain no preservatives or animal products. After receiving tons of comments on my Instagram stories I thought I’d share this oh so simple vegetable-filled recipe that even the most novice foodie can whip up in 10 minutes.

Ingredients
- Live Wraps
- Big Mountain Foods Cauli Crumble
- Green pepper
- Onion
- Carrots
- Cheese (if you’re looking for a vegan option I recommend trying Daiya Cheese)
- Avocado
- Farm Boy Ajvar spread

Alternative Topping/ Spreads
- Cucumber
- Cabbage
- Tomatoes
- Pomegranate Seeds
- Herbs
- Tzatziki
- Hummus
- Guacamole
I’m often switching up my toppings to including different veggies/ spreads so make sure to have fun and make these wraps your own.

Directions:
- Chop desired toppings and set aside.
- Take one pack of Big Mountain Foods Cauli Crumble and add to lightly oiled pan.
- Break up cauli crumble with a spatula and cook on medium heat for around 4 – 5 minutes (must be 160 F or 71 C).
- Remove wraps from fridge, spread with Ajvar spread (or any spread of your choice), add cauli crumble and toppings and enjoy!
Yup, literally that easy.

I’ve been using this cauli crumble in a lot of my meals in place of meat. It’s not that I don’t enjoy meat anymore because I’m a total bacon gal, but I find it to be a lighter alternative yet just as filling. Nitin and I add cauli crumble on top of our nachos, in pasta and as a side with other meals, and love the overall texture and taste.
Alternative Meal Ideas for Live Wraps
- For a healthy morning option, scramble some eggs and make your own breakfast burrito.
- Layer with bacon, lettuce and tomato for a healthier take on a BLT.
- If you’re like Nitin who loves meat, add some chicken (or any meat of choice), peppers and onions and enjoy as fajitas.
Stay tuned for more posts on my go-to pregnancy snacks and recipes!
